A big-time jeweller in HSR Layout was conned by a vendor the other day. He took gold but never made any jewellery from it and neither did he return the gold. Although, the incident happened in February this year, the complaint was lodged only on June 22, 2019.
According to Rajesh KV, the proprietor of Rajesh Jewellery Mart on 5th Main in Sector 6, HSR Layout, 45-year-old Dhananjay, a resident of Nandini Layout, took 180.38 gram gold from Rajesh Jewellers on February 25, 2019. He was allegedly tasked to fashion jewellery out of it. The deadline came and went but neither did Dhananjay produce the jewellery nor the gold that was given to him. Rajesh, a resident of Krishnagiri, filed a case of cheating with the HSR Layout police. The jewellery is valued close to Rs 5.75 lakh.
